- Hi Im Jessica Im 35 whose Cancer journey began in December of 2019. After full work up for a lump I found in my left breast; they did mammograms, ultrasound and MRI and now there was a second lump in the same breast and an enhancement in the right. Biopsied it all and Diagnosis is Invasive ductal carcinoma in situ ER+, PR+ and HER2+ on the left nothing on the right breast. On February 12th, I had a Bilateral Mastectomy with Reconstruction and sentinel nodes pathology was negative for the 2 removed..Thankfully all went well. I have several more post op appointments for my reconstruction. We met with an oncologist for a first opinion and have several others lined up. Right now it seems like next step in the treatment plan will be chemo with taxol and Herceptin. Any information on chemo vs no chemo with just single lined therapy? What other options were others given in same situation? Im researching but overwhelmed a bit.
