Nicole DeLuca

Hi everyone my name is Nicole DeLuca -I'm a gender queer, disabled survivor of child sexual abuse/domestic violence, and now breast cancer. I consider myself an independent thinker and I want to disrupt notions of the "Standard of Care" in this country. I'm an independent filmmaker and musician playing in a Instrumental Horror Surf Rock band called @TheMysterics based in NYC & Milan. I was raised in Philadelphia and now live in Brooklyn with my hubby/bandmate & service dog Wolfie. I have worked as a "Below The Line" on set crew member in the film industry for almost 15 years observing and learning from Oscar Award winning directors. I have also independently documented the front lines of social justice and anti apartheid movements for Palestine, Standing Rock, BLM, and Occupy Wall St. I'm determined to become the best -most healthy- version of myself so I can share my stories of survival with the world. To open minds and present people with new perspectives sparking critical thinking that is visually/sonically cool and interesting. My goal is to help repair the fabric of society by doing my small part to make this world a more groovy, peaceful, and less violent place for everyone. To show leaders in government and industry that there is a more intelligent, efficient way of conducting ourselves both globally and locally by unapologetically rejecting imperialism & hegemony in all its forms.
