I was a 42 year old married teacher, and a doctoral student about to start working on my dissertation when I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2013, E+/P+/Her2-. I immediately took an integrative approach, but only took it lightly. Conventionally I had a bilateral mastectomy with DIEP flat reconstruction and radiation, but refused chemotherapy and Tamoxifen. Holistically I took supplements recommended by my integrative Doctor based on RGCC Test, and went on blood type diet, but refused IV vitamin C, hyperbaric oxygen, and detoxing because of time and money..

Withing two months of finishing radiation, I started to feel pain in my leg. In May 2014 it was confirmed that my cancer had spread to my bones - spine, femur, and pelvis bone. Conventionally, I had a titanium rod put in my femur, had my ovaries removed, and went on Anastrozole and XGEVA. Holistically, I went on a whole foods vegan ketogenic diet, started going for IV vitamin C, hyperbaric oxygen, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, and detoxing, and continued taking recommended supplements.

Within a year of my stage 4 diagnosis, I was NEAD - no evidence of active disease. I then stopped IV vitamin C and went for cheaper hyperbaric oxygen, but within six months my cancer acted up. Without any change in pharmaceutical medicine, I resumed IV vitamin C and full treatment hyperbaric oxygen, and within a year I was NEAD again. My breast cancer has stayed NEAD for 3+ years now.

I specify that I have been NEAD concerning breast cancer the last 3 years, because since 2016 I have been fighting several occurrences of stage 3 melanoma, unrelated to my breast cancer.
