Hi Jessica here! 35 year old who just celebrated her 1st wedding anniversary in the same month as her bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction.Im a momma of 3 babies, Carla 13, Camila 9 and Marley boy our puppy whose 8 months old. I am a full time nurse on leave currently and my Cancer journey began in December of 2019. I usually check my breasts in the shower and noticed that I felt something new I had not felt last month in my left breast. Being proactive I immediately got full work up; mammograms, ultrasound and MRI and now there was a second lump in the same breast and an enhancement in the right. Biopsied it all and Diagnosis is Invasive ductal carcinoma in situ ER+, PR+ and HER2+. On February 12th, one day shy of my daughters 13th birthday I am scheduled for a Bilateral Mastectomy with Reconstruction. Thankfully all went well and I am recovering day by day. Currently wanted to get on this platform to engage with other beautiful woman with similar stories who I can gain insight, guidance and hope from.
